In order to do large-scale usability data collection in Japan but also in Europe, user-autonomous testing needed to be enabled. Therefore, a research platform was required to help guide users through usability tests. I was working on the Human Interface Laboratory’s (HILab) research platform, to help guide test participants through the autonomous usability tests.
The platform was connected with Microsoft Clarity, a usage analysis tool to evaluate user behavior and website efficiency. On this research platform, the main purpose of Microsoft clarity was to record the task completion times.
